Bungamati is an ancient village built in a beautiful setting surrounded by rice terraces. There will be a genuine traditional life. Beautiful facades with hanging peppers, narrow streets to sculpting workshops, and lively central square with two temples including the famous Rato Machhendranath, red god of agriculture.
We will drive you with pleasure in this little visited place, which is however only a few kilometers from the capital.
We will also have the opportunity to go there by bus to go later on to the village next door and visit its traditional factory of mustard oil. The trip to these two authentic Newar villages represents a half-day touristic program.
